    About Me

My name is Mary Niles and I have always been drawn to natural therapies as a way of helping the body to bring balance in mind, body and spirit. Having experienced a lot of these therapies myself and noting the benefits, I embarked on a holistic path.

I have practiced a wide range of therapies which include reflexology, massage, aromatherapy, nutritional advice, baby reflexology instructor, RLD reflexology and Tai Chi instructor.

I became a Tai Chi Instructor with Master Ding Academy of Tai Chi Chuan in 2007 and I set up classes in Bandon Town Hall. I have also given classes in adult education and I have worked with many elderly groups.

I have a passion for learning and I have completed advanced courses in reflexology for intellectual disabilities, babies and children  reflexology,  pregnancy and fertility reflexology and advanced courses in aromatherapy for therapeutic uses.

I am a registered member of the National Register of Reflexologists Ireland and I am approved by VHI, LAYA Health and Irish Life Health.

    what is Reflexology

Your feet are a very important part of your body. They help you stand, walk, run and jump. They support your entire body weight. When you rub your feet, you are not only rubbing your feet, you are also helping other parts of your body to stay healthy. You are helping your eyes, ears, sinuses, heart, lungs, stomach, kidneys, intestines, your bones, etc.

On the top and bottom of your feet, there are over 7,000 points called reflex points. When you rub/stimulate these points, energy is sent to a particular nerve, gland, organ or muscle in your body, carrying with it a special message. This is called REFLEXOGY.

Reflexology is an ancient form of healing dating back to the Egyptians. They discovered each part of the foot related to a different part of the body. And by pressing on sore places on the persons feet (and also hands, face, ears and whole body!), they were able to improve the health of that person. By working on the persons feet once a week or several times a day depending on the person, they discovered that the persons health problems decreased, they were more relaxed, slept better, felt less pain, their digestion improved, etc.

    Reflexology Treatments

    Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD)

RLD Reflexology is a ground breaking and multi-award winning technique developed by Sally Kay. It focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet. This is a great treatment to boost the immune system especially coming into the winter months.

Great as treatment on its own or it has additional benefits when combined with regular reflexology treatments.
